The Infotainment of the Magic Box

By Aishvarya Ragahvan

The Internet has always been, and always will be, a Magic Box! Marc Andreessen said it once and since then, everybody agrees with it.
Internet- a word with which all of us are happily acquainted with, opens a whole wide world of opportunities with just a click. And with the similar notion, we decided to take all our kids on the wonder ride of this ‘world wide web’!

Visit to Remaxy’s, Noida

One fine day, the boys from Arya Bal Griha, Daryaganj got the opportunity to travel to the one of the finest IT firms to learn everything about the internet. According to a volunteer, the ride to the Remaxy’s office was a fascinating one. With the intrigued minds asking questions like “Hum YouTube kar saken ge?” and “Mera email-id banwadena bhaiya” (Can we YouTube our favorite videos? And. Can you please create my email- account); the volunteers knew for a fact that this would be one hell of an experience for them!

Upon reaching, the employees of Remaxy’s explained the children how to explore the different search engines, create email id’s and read news about their favorite stars. The minute they opened the YouTube website, the enthusiasm reached zenith!

Google Reach at Chhatravas

When some new faces (read: foreign faces) walked in the premises of the shelter home, you could see their excitement. But when a lot of laptops were carried together, the girls got all the more eager!
It all started when a little girl asked for help from a magician! And that magician explained the power of World Wide Web. How you can search anything and everything and find answers to; watch your favorite stars dance- and copy them! That is exactly what Mikey, an employee from Google Reach, did as per the instructions from the ‘Mr.Google/ YouTube!’ But how is the internet experience complete without a little birdie landing our letters to us! The E-Mail!

The beautiful session conducted by the employees from Google Reach and Remaxy’s, made a huge impact on these little girls! How do we know that?
Our little kids email us often! :)

After I originally commented I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added-
checkbox and now every time a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment.
There has to be a way you are able to remove me from that service?

    Many thanks!
