The First 3 Comparing Classes

DAY 1
Compare self with others:
Vocab Activity: Appukuttan Family
Take pictures of people of various age groups and characteristics and point out differences. Fill in the words in the repository (Venn diagram).
Repository (Venn Diagram): Taller, Shorter, Older, Younger, Thinner, fatter.
STEM:
Both she and I have ____.
I am ___ but she is ___.
Language Function Activity:
1) Write the names of all the kids in chits.
2) 1st let each kid picks a secret chit.
3) Without mentioning the name of the person in the chit, each child gets a turn to contrast / compare himself with the other person.
4) The other children must guess the person.
* Cover the original grammar stem too.
DAY 2
COMPARE BOYS AND GIRLS
Vocab activity: Flash cards, pictures, dolls etc.
Repository: Matrix with attributes of boys and girls. APPEARANCE, CLOTHES, ROLES AT HOME, INTERESTS

- Divide kids into pairs.
- Ask each team to decide on a movie.
- Using the words given in matrix, they must identify one similarity and difference between the hero and heroine per team member.
- Each team and tem member is given a turn to speak.
- Each team must make one sentence using every stem. ( each child must make at least one sentence)
