As we all know human resource is the most important asset of an organization. MAD Cochin conducted a recruitment drive at Longevity, Cochin on 15 Aug 2010.
After the Onam celebrations at YMCA, it was the turn of Snehabavan next. No, we did not play football with them. You can only make the same mistake a finate number of times. And that number of times is rapidly approching for us. You can’t lose to the same team five times and still play them. Not by choice anyway.
Onam celebrations are happening in many centers in Cochin. First center to welcome ‘Mavali’ was YMCA, Thrikakara. All started with a few colourful invitations on Facebook. Soon, there was a list of enthusiastic volunteers who confirmed that they’ll be coming to the event. Couple of days later, we were all at the center – getting ready for the celebrations.
Want to make a difference in the world you are living in? Ever felt the need to help people less privileged than you? Or do you want to be part of one of the coolest NGOs in India? This is your chance. Make A Difference(MAD) is recruiting once again.

Cochin has started Computer classes today. We had our first class at YMCA Boys Home at Thrikakara. Naizi and Suresh were the teachers. Me(Binny) and Blesson were there too. Its was the first class – so we went to smoothen out the rough edges.
Cochin, July 25: The former sub-editor of ‘The Week’, Mrs Sumi Thomas addressed the MAD kids at Valsalya Bhavan rendering them new perspectives on her profession. She started off delineating every detail of a newspaper and moved on to the rolls of media makers, reporters and desk journalists, demarcating vividly their areas and limits of action.
On July 24, ten kids each from Udaya colony and Darul Uloom were ushered into the Casino hotel by the good hearted maddies and they called it a field trip. If the kids were taken aback at the first sight of this bosom of luxury strange for them; to prevent the same the next time was quite the intention of MAD. Once grown ups they should walk by the lanes of modernity with their chins up and well seasoned.
You sit puzzling over the crossword conundrum sipping on your creamy nescafe from a white glossy mug.Thinking ‘enough is enough’, you give up. Then thither comes a fairy! Elegantly stepping out of a blinding lump of light, it whispers to you: ‘be positive!’. You walk to the interviewer trying to appear relaxed. You drop your handkerchief, you try to pick it up, you drop your files, you are nervous. Then thither comes the fairy and it utters in your ears: ‘Self confidence!’.
