Cochin Recruitment Drive Report
The first recruitment drive of 2010-11 in Cochin is over. It was a ‘houseful’ event – 61 people turned up. It was way more than what I(or anyone else) expected. The event was held at Avenue Regent on the 25th of April – three days ago. We are really grateful to the Avenue Regent management(especially Mr Rejith) for providing us the venue free of cost.
The volunteers were told to reach the location at 8:30 sharp so that we can make sure everything was ready by 9:30. And as expected, the volunteers started arriving at the location by 8:45. 8:30 in IST(Indian Stretchable Time) usually means 9:00 – 9:15. We were early

The very first session was the ice breaker by Kavita. She turned the new recruits into animals. They where barking and meowing all over the place. This was followed by the orientation session by Shahnaz. Finally, there was a workshop by Jithin.

Then we moved on to the interviews – we had six panels set up in the next room. It must have been very frightening for the new guys. Even the people on the interview panels found the room intimidating (trust me, I found it very intimidating). Once the interviews started though, it was fun. We have a great gang joining us this time – met some awesome guys at the interview. Looking forward to working with them.

Around 1:30 pm, we wound up the event. All the interviews were done and all the forms were filled. After a small discussion about the event, we split up for lunch. All in all, a great recruitment drive – I hope the next one(Cochin will have another recruitment drive in two months time) will be even better.
Kudos to everyone involved – and especially to Nadheem and Kavita – our HR people
