RYLA Camp 1!
M.A.D and Rotary Greater Cochin partnered to conduct RYLA camp on December 5th 2009, at Don Bosco Palluruthy!!!
Now on to the techinical stuff for RYLA illiterates ( i was one till 2 weeks back

RYLAs normally include fundamentals of leadership, ethics of positive leadership, importance of communication skills in effective leadership and building self confidence and self-esteem.
The camp was attended by 34 boys. The morning started with breakfast being served. What a kickstart!

Then an interesting icebreaker activity was conducted by Nikhil (copied from our OBT icebreaker
, where the kids had to introduce thmselves and do a stunt and say “this is what i do” and the other kids had to mimic him and say “Hi! we do it too”.

The camp was formally inaugurated by the rotary and the sessions began. Some were too intense and in depth for the kids ( and some of our volunteers too) and yet they learnt a lot of small things that they can carry foward for the rest of their lives
And most of us MAD volunteers hadnt attended a RYLA too, so it was a new experience for us as well

There were 4 sessions and a talent show. The sessions were
