MAD Bangalore – results of the First Workshop
Recently MAD Bangalore organized the first ever workshop (Previous Post) on June 20, 2009. I know you were eager to know what happened in there. Well, here is what has happened there.

MAD Bangalore is all set...
This workshop was focused on inviting all the people who showed interest in MAD over the last couple of years and who have registered on the MAD website. The core team here contacted each and everyone in the list, whoever was available either over the phone or over emails. We met a varied group of people – differing demographically as well as in their motive to join MAD. There were people from all segments of the society – students, professionals, retired bureaucrats and social workers. Some were very keen to join asap, while some had a blurred idea about the MAD vision and mission. The interactions with those people were awesome and most of the time it was a two way learning. However, after two weeks of meeting and interacting with all the fascinated people, we came up with a list of those who committed to be present during the workshop.
Many of those who committed turned up. It’s true that the crowd was lesser than expected, but, we were able to pull in a good number of people. The workshop started with a motive to select those who were not only keen to join but can commit and understand the importance of staying involved and giving.
The evening was fine when we met the people in Rotary House, Bangalore. People showed as much interest in knowing and exploring about MAD as much as the core team was engrossed in explaining the vision and answering their queries. The gathering was good with positive flow of energy and information.
Finally, we have got a list of people who can be part of MAD. They are equally excited and committed to be involved and to give. The final team of volunteers would be chosen soon.
MAD Bangalore is all set now and so is Bangalore.
Come, lets join hands and positively, Make a Difference!
