A Proud Moment!

It is a proud moment for us MAD volunteers as our kids have waded through one of the most important roadblocks of their lives. 17 of the 18 kids from the centers where MAD teaches, who sat their 10th std exams this year have passed with flying colors!! *clap clap*

We shouldn’t forget just how difficult this journey has been for them. It is truly inspirational to watch these kids do so well in their exams despite having had such difficult childhoods. So let us all give these wonderful and brave children a standing ovation!

Great job MAD Volunteers! You certainly deserve credit for having guided them through it all. Pat yourselves on the back! :)

Amidst all the jubilation lets not forget the ones who couldn’t make it through the exam. Unfortunately Binoy from YMCA did not pass his exam. However, we should remember that clearing the 10th exams is not an easy task to accomplish, not to mention the difficult lives these kids lead which don’t help either. Let us hope he will succeed the second time around and let the MAD volunteers will themselves to help him with it!

Each of these kids will be honored in a special felicitation ceremony which will take place during our upcoming camp. If any of you know people who are willing to sponsor children for their higher education, do get in touch with the respective centers. Of course MAD will try its level best to make sure each of these kids get the best education out there.

    yippe!!! i must comment here.. : niki used to teach the ten std in st teresa’s ! she used to be someone who used to run to stc when ever the sister called her. and getting all her 11 students pass with flying colours , its just amazing!! Good work !!
