Mumbai Recruitment Drive

29 April 2009 Posted by Rashi
MAD Mumbai claims to find the perfect cause and cure for insomnia : THE RECRUITMENT DRIVE.
On 26th April, the dreaded day, the core team with absolutely no experience but loads of enthusiasm decided that they were finally go make some other people MAD. For a change all of them reached on time at St. Joseph’s school, Juhu. After setting up the registration desk, the volunteers started pooling in and soon the drive started.

Though 60 people were expected, 40 turned up which in the end turned up to be a boon since it was easier to handle and the enthusiasm was amazing. The slight hesitation of each volunteer was quickly broken by the ice-breaker which by the way was the most popular “best thing you like today” on the feedback form. The ice-breaker gave away to the orientation which most of those who attended said was one of the most moving things.

Our President dearest gave a brilliant over-view of the MADness (Most of us were shocked to see this side but we loved it). A few more more games and one simple question of “What is the MADdest thing you have done?” pumped the energy back into the room. At which point, the group broke for lunch.

Post-lunch, the interviews-cum- team building activities began. Though the fatigue was evident, the volunteers definitely gave their best. After a lot of grilling interviews, 26 volunteers were chosen. Feedback forms were filled and DNA photographer captured this MADness through his lens.

Over-all, a great day which was appreciated by all. This volunteer’s ( Abhishek K) blog says it all.

To all those who got selected, let the MADness begin!

PS: Errr.. In our excitement, we forgot to take pictures. But we’ll remember the next time around. For sure
